One area of art that is often overlooked is the beautiful world of stamps. With so many countrys producing stamps, and the numerous genres applied the options are endless. The artwork which is placed on the stamp design can be made into wall art in a couple of different ways.

You can buy a sheet of stamps which covers a particular theme and then have that matted and framed. Poof, you have a wonderful picture and a piece of a countries history all in one. Or, if you are interested in creating larger pieces, you can take the stamps art and have it enlarged to your specifications. Do this with a few different styles and you have a well defined, and cohesive theme formally established.

I did this project with a collection of Broadway musical stamps several years back. I constantly receive compliments on it, and it adds a great deal to the musical posters that are hung nearby. This is also a fabulous way to get children interested in collecting stamps.
